Baharya Oasis And White Desert

The Bahariya oasis was made famous in 1996 when a huge burial site was discovered, containing around 250 mummies, the mummies dated back to various periods' throughout history. To date, approximately thirty-four tombs have been discovered.

Day 1 – Baharya

Early morning start with our mini van to Baharya Oasis, about 04 hours drive, 340 kilometers from Cairo. Transfer to the hotel.

Arrive in Bawiti the capital of the Oasis occupying a hillside. After lunch, you will start an afternoon tour amongst top sights of Baharya, including  El Meftella Mountain, Salty Lake, (Pyramid Mountain) & Maghrafa Mountain, stroll to Bir el Ghaba & el Matar warm springs with opportunity for bathing.

Dive into the history of the Oasis by visiting the Tomb of Bannantiu "26 Dynasty" with its still vibrantly colored decorations.

Move to the Ruins of the temple of Alexander The Great; believed that the Greek conqueror passed through Baharya while returning from the oracle of Amoun at Siwa Oasis.

Visiting the valley of the Golden Mummies; A huge burial site, where around 250 mummies form the different periods of the Egyptian history were discovered.

Time permitting; a visit to the English Mountain will take place by sunset. Here, the old English outpost was used by British troops as it showed strategic views of the area.

Then get ready for BBQ dinner and soft drinks while enjoying the Bedouin show. 

Overnight at hotel .

Day 2 - White Desert

Early morning breakfast before journeying out into the Black Desert surrounding Baharya Oasis, where the iron in the desert is one of the reasons for the black rocks.

Then visit the crystal desert & Agbatat desert and some mountains and sand dunes then move to the white desert which is one of the prettiest desserts in whole wonderful of white amazing rocks take the shape of so many different things like; mushrooms,.

Back to hotel , Dinner , Overnight in Baharya

Day 3 - Cairo

Early morning breakfast then back to Cairo.
